Thank You!
Well, in the few days since our last post, we have seen some financial gifts come in! Thank you for your help, it makes us that much closer to our goal! We have also had people give some really great fund raising ideas as well, so thanks to all of you!

We're Accepted!
Exciting news, we have been accepted to YWAM in Perth! Our DTS starts on October 4th so we will be leaving Salt Spring around September 25th to make our way to Australia! We will have a chance to get used to the time change and enroll the kids into school before Aaron and I start DTS. Levi will either be at pre-school on the base (if it is running for our DTS) otherwise someone will be provided to take care of him while we are in class. I have to remember that we are not the first family to take our kids to YWAM and that they have it all sorted out. The mother in me is having some issues letting go of control, but I know that someone even better IS in control! This is really stretching Aaron and I as parents but we fully believe that during this trip our kids will see things and learn things that they couldn't here at home.
We are going with no expectations and an open heart and mind and know that we will be pushed out of our comfort zones. So, rolling with that last statement...here are our financial needs. For the entire year we need to come up with at least $35,900 Aussie dollars (their dollar is almost on par with ours). I will break it down for you so you get an idea where the money has to go:
Flights $8,000
DTS $7,300 (this includes living costs for Aaron and I)
cost of living for the kids $2,600
Outreach $10,000
cost of living for 6 months $8,000
*plus there will be additional costs for things that we haven't even thought of yet
Here's where you can help! This financial goal seems impossible for us, but with help we can make it. All we need are 140 people to donate $250. Really, in the big scheme of things, $250 isn't a huge amount and you would be investing into something that will bless you in the future. I'm sure we can find 140 people who believe in us and are willing to help us!
God has put this trip on our hearts and he wouldn't send us out without having an amazing plan. We are so excited and feel so blessed to have this opportunity and we thank you for your love and support.
